Just over thirty years later when J. S. Gill sold his majority stake to a Middle-East based consortium, RSH was the undisputed leader in Asia. Sales over USD 1 billion from 38 countries were generated across 1150 stores through brands such as Zara, Mango, Massimo Dutti, Pull & Bear, Tag Heuer, Ted Baker, Reebok, Nike, Adidas, Puma, New Balance, Quicksilver, Roxy, Diesel, Billabong and vans, etc.

The Dubai Mall
Planning the World's largest retail destination
J. S. Gill was the person in charge and responsible for the planning and designing of the Dubai Mall. Spanning over 3.77 million sq ft (leasable area), the Dubai Mall is one of the largest retail destinations.
He directed and led a team of architects to design and construct the mall, and overlooked research, strategic planning, marketing, tenant mix. He was also responsible for the launch and post-launch planning.
